Why run as a Republican?
Because I'm an American and I care about my community. And running as a Republican is the only way to kick these corrupt cowards out of office.
Your leaders *should* represent you. You *should* be able to vote them out when they do a bad job. (Like they're doing right now.)
Why not run as a Democrat in the general election then?
Instead, they've rigged the maps to make sure the Republican candidate will win the general election every time.
Wait - so the PRIMARY decides who goes to the US House?
The general election has already been decided. So - the primary is the only competition for this job.
So only registered Republicans can run in the primary?
Yep! That's why I changed my voter registration to Republican. On Nov 6, I filed the paperwork to challenge Tim Moore in the Republican US House primary.
What does it all mean?
I'm running in the primary with an R next to my name because that's how you get an actual choice on March 3rd. And you, like every voter, deserve to have your voice heard and your vote counted. That's what democracy is all about. Let's kick these corrupt chickens out.

Corrupt politicians are drawing voting maps to make sure they'll keep their power - even while they're screwing you over.
Voters should choose their politicians. Politicians shouldn't choose their voters. Gerrymandering is wrong no matter which party is doing it.

If you are registered as a Republican or Unaffiliated, you can vote for me.
When you vote, ask for the Republican primary ballot. And then pick me!
How do I change my voter registration to be able to vote for Kate?
If you are currently a registered Democrat and want to change to Unaffiliated to vote for me, you can do that.
Just go to the DMV website and change your party affiliation.
You have until February 6th, 2026 to make the change.

Can Kate win?
Yes.
Primaries have incredibly low voter turnout. And only the diehard party people show up. So, if a bunch of middle of the road voters come out to vote in the Republican primary- I win. (Wild? Yes. Achievable? Also yes.)
At minimum, I'll force Tim to work for his job. So, I've already won (and so have you) just by running.
Why isn't Kate running as a Democrat in the general election?
I'm done with the leaders in DC (from both parties). We need to vote all of them out and start fresh - with leaders who actually listen.
And the only way to get rid of them is to game the corrupt, bullsh*t maps they've drawn to protect their power. That means primaries.
In NC, our voting maps are rigged to make sure the Republican candidate will win the general election. It's called gerrymandering. (Yes, even the word "gerrymandering" is the worst.)
But - the primary isn't rigged. Any registered Republican can file the paperwork and run. So, I'm running in the election that will *actually* decide who represents District 14 in Congress.
What is the point of this campaign?
First, I hope it sends me to Congress. (Is it a longshot? Yep. But we have to try anything and everything to get these f*ckers out.)
Tim Moore is one of the most corrupt politicians we've ever seen. He works to grow his bank account, not to grow yours. You deserve better.
But also - most of the policies passed by Congress are about a politician avoiding a primary challenger. And those challengers tend to come from the extreme of a party. That means we get more extreme policies.
Most Americans agree about how a lot of things should work (yes really!) - and it's not the extremist stuff we have now. How do we fix it? By making sure our elected leaders are as worried about being primaried by a LESS extreme candidate as they are a fringe one.
If elected leaders get worried about being voted out of office, they will start passing policies you actually want.
